Lovari

Lovari began during COVID as the brainchild of gym-fanatic founder Jasmine. The brand offers activewear-meets-shapewear and is built on the philosophy that clothes should be both sustainable and sexy. This philosophy is perfectly demonstrated in the Thea Corset Crop. This sports bra provides support, lift, and style, crafted to create an hourglass illusion. It’s practical, planet-friendly, and perfect for any sporting endeavor.

The brand uses organic hemp in its leggings, which are 100% biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable. It also uses OEKO-TEX-certified fabrics made of ECONYL created from recycled fishing nets and other discarded waste.

With a slow-fashion approach, the brand produces limited volumes to keep waste low, and even donates £1 of every purchase to @actionguineabissau.

Adidas X Stella McCartney

This entire Adidas X Stella McCartney collection is vegan, created by Stella McCartney daughter of vegetarian pioneer Linda McCartney.

McCartney is carrying on her mother’s legacy in her approach to fashion with clothes that are both eco and animal-friendly. For example, the Infinite Hoodie, made in collaboration with Evrnu, is 100% recyclable and entirely circular. Likewise, its ‘Made to Be Remade” scheme means that consumers can return worn-out items to be remade by scanning a QR code on the product.

The collection is effortlessly cool, too, from the blush pink TrueCasuals track top to the screaming pink TruePurpose sports bra.

Wild About Collective

This luxury athleisure brand sells everything from bra tops to unitards and is all about making clothes ethically. The Bali-based slow fashion brand works with Carvico, a sustainable techno-fabric supplier, to source recycled fabrics. This includes ECONYL yarn derived from 100% regenerated pre-and post-consumer waste.

It only works with companies that have transparent and sustainable policies, and it has also partnered with Seven Clean Seas, an ocean clean-up organization, to tackle plastic waste.

Wolven Threads

Founded by Kiran Jade, Wolven Threads was born from a desire to find materials that were sturdy, stretchy, and sustainable. With South Asian prints inspired by her heritage and fabrics made from recycled plastics, the brand’s motto is ‘Make Sustainability Sexy,’ and it’s on a mission to help people feel good about themselves and the planet.

Aside from its active tops, flares, and leggings (great for stretching into downward dog or curling up into child’s pose), it removes one pound of plastic from the ocean for every order. It even has a live tracker measuring this on its site.

It is also a 1% for the Planet partner, donating 1% of yearly revenue to social justice and environmental non-profit organizations.

Girlfriend Collective

Girlfriend Collective is a slow fashion sustainability savior dedicated to ethical manufacturing. Size inclusive, it offers XXS to 6XL; this brand uses recycled materials to create its clothes which includes water bottles, fishing nets, and fabric scraps to make its bodysuits, sports bras, and best-selling skorts.

The brand uses lower-impact, non-toxic and eco-friendly dyes. It even donates its dye mud to a local pavement facility to be used for sidewalks and roads. And to keep things circular, the company encourages consumers to recycle their clothes through its Recycle. Reuse. ReGirlfriend scheme.
